Position Summary:
Facilitate and enhance the working environment for the Radiologists by improving workflow to increase efficiency and productivity. Effectively communicate critical test results to referring physicians and healthcare providers in an accurate and timely manner. Enhance patient safety and flow by assisting the Radiologist in managing patient information and priority. Follow PHI and HIPAA organizational policies and guidelines. Provide primary phone support and take appropriate action to facilitate the request. Provide support for all aspects of customer service for the Radiology Department.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSRequired: �High School Graduate OR Equivalent, 2 years of experience in a medical setting OR Related experience Preferred: �Associate's Degree in a related field �Experience in a Radiology department

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of EPIC, PowerScribe, PACS preferred. Skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required.
Essential Functions:
- Assist With communication with referring providers: order changes, results, protocols,
- Be a central point of communication for radiologists: help get people to the right radiologists at the right time, filter calls to minimize radiologist interruption
- Assist with communication between radiologists and technical staff
- Assist with radiologist scheduling
- Assist with Tumor Board and Conference prep; educational activities.
- Help coordinate medical student and resident rotations
- Administrative assistant duties to departmental leadership: AMD, Quality Officer, IT/Informatics Lead and Managers
- Assist with scheduling radiologists non clinical activities: eg meetings, lectures, presentations
- Collaborate with Radiology Educator to assist with new physician onboarding/training.
- Assist with data management for departmental quality tracking and process improvement.
- Any non-clinical task that would impair physician productivity and quality. Eg...allow the doctors to do what they do best and minimize interruptions.
