Job Description:
The Division of Child Support (DCS) is seeking a leader with strong interpersonal skills to join the management team as a Branch Manager (Child Support Supervisor 2) in the Albany Office. The successful candidate will work closely with another branch manager to direct the work assigned to the office, to support all branch staff as they complete their work and to participate in the development of branch and program goals. This position plays a leadership role in the local child support program, representing the program and DCS at community and civic intergovernmental activities. This is a hybrid position of remote and in-office work. The majority of the work will take place in office, although there will be an opportunity for part-time remote work.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization effectively and professionally.
  • Experience assessing and coaching individuals to meet production and work quality goals.
  • Experience collaborating, teambuilding, troubleshooting, and finding solutions to operational needs in a team environment.
  • Broad knowledge of or the ability to learn about various areas of the Oregon Child Support Program, including intergovernmental, finance, case management, enforcement, and establishment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role you will work collaboratively as a Management Team with the other Branch Manager (Child Support Supervisor 1) for the Albany Office of Division of Child Support. You will provide supervision and leadership amongst the Albany Branch Team by developing your team through coaching and maintained trainings. This role is also accountable for supervising represented staff and one subordinate manager. In this role you will review and develop short-term and long-term goals for performance and measuring the outcomes. This role includes the responsibility of program management. As a member of branch management team, you will participate in the establishment and implementation of plans to meet the Division of Child Support Mission. You will offer advice, make recommendations, and provide guidance to overcome obstacles. Other roles include the responsibilities of managing the facilities maintenance, monitoring the branch’s budget, and is not limited to participating in special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED AND SPECIAL EXPERIENCES AND ATTRIBUTES
  • Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR one year of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree.
AND
  • Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges. Adverse findings will be evaluated to determine eligibility for the position.
