Position Summary:
The Institute of Northern Engineering (INE) and the Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) are seeking a full-time Proposal Coordinator to assist faculty with preparing proposals to submit for possible funding by the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, and other funding agencies. INE and ACEP are growing research centers; home to approximately 70 tenure and non-tenure track faculty and approximately 35 staff dedicated to providing the administrative and programmatic support necessary to carryout roughly $20 million in annual research activity.Duties:
B.A. or B.S. in a related business or science field and 2 years increasingly responsible experience related to the program specialty or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Some experience with budgets and/or spreadsheets.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
