As an Electronics Testing Associate in the Processing team, you are at the heart of Human-I-Ts electronics reuse operations, responsible for assessing the current condition of donated technology through testing and observation, fixing any issues or defects, replacing broken or missing parts, and cleaning and restoring the product for reuse. You will receive, diagnose, update, process, and prepare gently used electronics and computing products for reuse and/or resale. You will ensure that the work of the department is done efficiently, effectively, and meets the goals and objectives set forth for your area. Training is available for this entry-level role, however a successful candidate will have proficiency or experience with electronics hardware or IT repair or refurbishment. The Human-I-T warehouse is NAID AAA-certified for data security, so all employees must pass a third-party background check as a condition of employment. This position reports directly to the Electronics Testing Supervisor within the Operations team.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Examines products for conformance to specifications and quality standards
  • Services many models and generations of products, including a great number of products no longer supported by manufacturing, putting limitations on parts availability
  • Determine viability of used components in order to identify used parts of service on older models
  • Perform repairs requiring testing, checking condition, product capability
  • Operates process control of equipment and handle manual activities that are required to monitor and control the movement of product
  • Ensures that the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and sanitation practices are always followed
  • Responsible for testing, repairing, and cosmetic appearance
  • Cleans production line and process work area or other parts of facility to maintain work conditions
  • Stores items in an orderly manner in the warehouse
  • Disposes of damaged or defective items and e-waste
  • Helps in carrying and moving goods/palettes through an established process flow and throughout the warehouse
  • Adheres to established safety standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:

  • A high school diploma/GED or an equivalent required


Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred


Skills:

  • Problem Solving
  • Physical Ability, able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Versatility, service multiple product types
  • Knowledge of Electronics (AA Degree +in electronics, CompTIA A+ certification, Technical certification course completion, built a computer)
