Online Data Specialist [United States]


 

The Online Data Specialist reports to the Director of CRM Operations and has broad responsibilities for managing online fundraising systems (Classy and Mailchimp), selecting, segmenting & analyzing direct marketing data and for providing ad hoc reporting to drive strategy and measure success for annual giving programs.

This is a hybrid position, with the expectation of working in the office or in-person whenever needed and on an average of 8 days per month. The Foundation has a mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, and all new employees must submit proof of their COVID-19 vaccination at the time their employment commences. Alternatively, prior to commencing employment, new employees may request approval for accommodation for an exemption to the policy as permitted by law.


GENERAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the direction of the Director of CRM Operations and in partnership with digital fundraising team, manage online fundraising systems (Classy, MailChimp).
  • Perform all selects and segment data for digital and offline mailings at the direction of the program managers, taking into consideration, for example, donor lifecycle stage (new, lapsed, etc. and recency, frequency, etc.).
  • Reconcile data, at the direction of the Director of CRM Operations, and manage transfer of data to the database of record (The Raiser’s Edge) especially email unsubscribes.
  • Under the guidance of the database management team, strengthen appeal code and other data structures and data handling processes.
  • Generate data for ad hoc reporting and strategic analysis of different annual giving programs. Perform limited ad hoc reporting.
  • Manage routine data audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain digital source codes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices regarding technologies for online and direct response fundraising; research and evaluate fundraising opportunities available through mobile web and other emerging technologies.
  • Ensure all systems are in compliance with HIPAA.
